Hello!! I'm baaaack!

Youmacon was awesome!!!

I had such a great time at this con! Got to bond with my buddies, meet awesome people and cosplayers, and got TONS of ice cream. XD

We got to Detroit late Thursday, got into our room and all our stuff in pretty easily. We ran around a bit that night to see what was going on and ended up finding a camera... hehehehe...

All my photo shoots went off without any major issues, scheduling was perfect, and I was able to get almost all the shots I wanted.
So many amazing locations at this con!! Though I have to admit, the interior is INSANE!!! Lol, it's a cheesecake. XD

But yeah, it's very confusing to manuvere in that building (Renaissance Center) and the interior definitely clashes with many cosplays, but for the most part we were able to find spots for all the cosplayers I shot with.

Dear god, the cracked photos we took at *kaiser-mony's table are hilarious! She'll probably end up posting some of them on her journal.

Friday we got the Artist Alley at around noonish, took some shifts, ran around yo do shoots with various AWESOME people, and got back to our room at around 10 pm. We we're all pretty tired though. We went to get some ice cream from the awesome candy shop in the lobby area, and we went there everyday for ice cream or tiny donuts. The guys that worked there managed to recognize ~Aerialdown and *kaiser-mony every time we came by, despite Monique's white face on Saturday. XD

Saturday was awesome, I got to shoot with ~rankin24 in her Rogue cosplay and I think that made my con because Rogue is my FAVE Marvel character next to Gambit and Wolverine. Her cosplay was amazing and she was fantastic to work with!

We also did a Jack Skellington shoot again after we closed the table for the day and we got to use my new lighting equipment, a Rotolight. It's my baby now. I loves it!

Also, I was finally able to get Monique to watch X-Men: First Class. OMG!! The gay in that movie! XD Who doesn't love FassAvoy?!

Sunday was sad because the elevators were PACKED trying to get down. I checked us out before hand, but when we were leaving with our luggage, there were WAY too many noisy people waiting at the elevators so we took the stairs down. It wasn't awful since were on the 18th floor, but we had more stuff than before and a coca cola can burst in one of the bags on the way down.

Had my last shoot, and did another mini shoot with Mony outside before we packed everything up, got one last scoop of ice cream and came back to Canada. Oh Canada, how we missed you!

I didn't want to come home because con-hangovers suck, but I also had a project due today, so I had to stay up and work on it when I got back.

But it was a great weekend! I absolutely love going to cons! And Youmacon will probably be on my list again next year.


Photos will take a while to post due to my school's workload at the moment, but I should have some going in the next 2 weeks.
