Hey everyone!!

I'm back from Montreal! Got into Toronto at around 1 am last night and I'm at work now doing some flats.

I had SUCH an amazing trip! I have fun at Otakuthon every year, but this year was just awesome. So many friends there and got to meet new people that you can't help but have fun.

We got into Montreal Thursday afternoon and hung out that night. Went to the con on Friday at 4pm for my first shoot which had a late start but was still great! I hadn't shot with ~eebanee since Con-G 2011 and as always, she and ~ShivaChan were a pleasure to work with! Lots of good laughs!
Next I shot with MDA and her boyfriend and we managed to get some great stuff with the fire fountain. I actually managed to shoot with the fire fountain a few times this weekend, but I managed to evade the Lipstick Forest for the most part. I also ran into ~animetomboy and it was great seeing her over the weekend! I hadn't seen her since last year at Anime North, so it had been a while. Love her so much! <3

On Saturday, I went in early to go to a J. Michael Tatum Panel, but unfortunately, he cancelled his appearance because he got sick. I was so depressed because he was a huge reason I was excited for this con. Regardless, I still had fun.
I went to *kaiser-mony's table to watch it for a bit with ~Mekou who was her table partner before we went off and looked at stuff.
Later, I met up with *EnchantedCupcake and her friend Steph. I love EnchantedCupcake's photography so much! Both her and Steph are very nice and great cosplayers too. Definitely shoot or chat with them if you get the chance!
Hopefully we'll shoot together again at Youmacon, but all depends on my  circumstances.

Afterwards I shot with *empress-arcana and we got some great shots, but the weather was so humid that her cosplay began to come part because the glue was coming off. So it's likely we're going to reschedule her shoot to get some shots in Toronto. It works since we live in the same city.
And after her, I shot with *rosieru-chan and her friend, ~Hamano--Ayumi (omg, I'm sorry but I forgot your name! I'm very bad with names) who was cosplaying as Korra. Again lovely ladies and great cosplayers!
In terms of photographers I saw, I hung out with *RocknamLee, *Henrickson, Thomas, Kevin, ~DROOphotographer, and a few others (whose names are escaping me).
On Saturday night, we quickly ran into Scott McNeil which was great for me because I wasn't able to see J. Michael Tatum and we chatted for a bit and got a photo before he was off for dinner. *kaiser-mony, Mel and I went out for sushi, but the restuarant we found was very expensive and didn't offer much in terms of normal sushi so we left fairly unsatisfied.

On Sunday, ~Aerialdown and I went to Scott McNeil's panel which was hilarious. Then I went through dealers 1 more time before heading to Mony's table again and I bought an iPhone case from her neighbour artist. It's so cool! But one of the pieces on it came off a day later so I have to fix it.
I also had my shoot with *DeltaRee and *Flanna who were awesome!! Again, very lovely people! Another reason I love this con because everyone is so nice and good to talk to.

Sunday night, we did a brief shoot before dinner and then headed to St. Hubert where there were over 50 cosplayers, photographers and con-goers in the restaurant. There was a wonderful surprise for Stephanie from her close friends because of how hard she's worked so it became an emotional event.




Otakuthon has a family built into it now and I really feel at home at this con.
Thanks to everyone who made this year amazing! To all the people I shot with, I met with, shot with randomly, ate with, chatted with, and had great times with! I love this con!

As a side note, we stayed an extra day so we wouldn't be stressed to leave on Sunday. On Monday we made a HUGE trek for fondue, but the place we headed to was closed. Is that a thing in Montreal for stuff to be closed on Monday's? We were so disappointed, especially because our feet were killing us after all that walking.

But that's about it.
