How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

I saw Paranormal Activity 3 the other night, and I posted a 3 part review on my YouTube page:

Watch if you're interested in what I thought of this movie, since I like this franchise. Warning, there are Spoilers! I summarize the whole movie for those too scared to see it.

I'm on my reading week for school and getting KILLED with homework, but hopefully I'll be able to get it all done before Youmacon so I can go stress free... though it'll be unlikely.

Me, Lin and Lisa went to see PA3 on friday. I was actually pretty impressed. I didn't like the second one as much, so I had hoped they'd do better in this one. And some of the stunts were just so genius! Like the oscillating fan... wow whatever writer thought of that is brilliant cuz that was soooo suspenseful.
Unfortunately we had a whole row of obnoxious, loud, annoying high school students behind us, so a lot of the thrill was lost on yelling at them to shut up.

I hate obnoxious loud people at the movies. It makes sense to be jumpy at a movie liek that, but not to talk all the way through. We had some people like that at our theatre too.

That fan was a great set up and sooo creepy when it can on screen.
What'd you think of the movie itself?

Ughh soo annoying. If they can't handle a horror movie without talking, they shouldn't watch it in the theatre.

I liked it

The ending was a bit... unexpected, what with the whole coven thing that wasn't really explained. Maybe it'll be explained in the next movie. And they never really got into the house burning, though you could see a fire in the distance in the yard, so maybe that was just alluding to it. The writers came up with some pretty ingenious scare tactics though. The fan tops it all, but then things like the sheet-ghost with the babysitter and the bloody mary scene. I liked it a lot better than the second one, for sure.

I agree. Even the burning part didn't make sense because they were at their grandmother's house, not their actual home, so the bon fire wouldn't have burned down their real home. The ending did leave a few plot holes open. But indeed, a step up from the scares from PA2.

I'm so sad you guys aren't coming to Youmacon. I just bought some new lighting equipment and I wanna take photos! We'll definitely miss you and the others.

True! What got me the most confused about the ending was the fact that in the first movies they seemed to remember the possession from their childhood as if it's just a distant memory, but if you think about it, now that they're living with their gramma, as we can only assume they are since the parents died, wouldn't the gramma bring them into the coven. You'd think they'd have a little more experience with magic and possession if they were part of a coven during childhood. I mean, it's gonna be kinda hard to hide that room full of creepy women from two young girls. @_@;

I KNOW SOBSOBSOB I had so much fun at that con last year! We'd love for you to take pictures of us too >< Hopefully next year, since we won't be spending all our money at Disney, we'll be able to go T_T Have a great time! The con is tons of fun, you'll enjoy yourself <3
