Another journal...? So soon...?

Yes, another one. Mainly because I'm bored. I've been up most of tonight watching some of Ackson's con videos trying to get some ideas and looking over cosplayers and cosplay photographers for inspiration.

So Otakuthon is less than a week away! I am so excited, I can hardly stand it!! Not quite looking forward to the bus ride there and back, but otherwise, I'm PSYCHED!!
I'll be traveling with the usual gang, who will all be cosplaying from The Nightmare Before Christmas: *kaiser-mony as Jack Skellington, ~Aerialdown as Oogie Boogie and !Enter-Stinky  as Sally. I can't wait to see them all done up!
There's quite a few people I'm looking forward to seeing at this con that I haven't seen for months! Like ~DROOphotographer and ~animetomboy

I just did all my photo reference and research for my photo shoots... Man, there was a lot to look over.
I think this'll be my most difficult con in terms of shoots because I'm away from a main computer source, though I may bring my old semi-broken laptop to start working on photos, I'm shooting 2 fairly large groups, and I've got to figure out locations to shoot at since Montreal is RICH with atmosphere and environment!
The building the con is being held at is about a 10 min walk away from the port, which means water and/or pier shots are a possibility. Montreal also has GREAT churches, older buildings, and cobble stone streets to work with. I've done photo shoots with friends in Montreal before, but with so many shoots now, and so many different styles, I feel like as if I have total freedom over my shoots now! I'm not nearly as restricted in terms of location like I am at most Toronto-area cons.
Though I still want to stay relatively close to the con because I don't want to spend half the shoot time just walking to a location, a 5 to 10 minute walk isn't much if it'll make the pictures look amazing!

I'm thinking of bringing a step ladder... so I can get some up-down shots without having to look for some ledge to hang off of like I usually do. Sound like a good idea?

The main thing that worries me is that I go back to school in September, which means I have less than a month to get these photos edited and sent out because I won't have the time to edit them during school. Well, since my job seems to not need me anymore (hasn't been called into work in almost 3 weeks), I may have the time I need to finish them all.

I'm very excited to be shooting certain cosplays because of their level of detail and intricacy. I LOVE working with cosplays and cosplayers that have a lot of dimension and attitude.
I've always wanted to shoot BLEACH cosplays though... mainly because I'm just a huge nerd of the show, but still.
I always thought Trinity Blood cosplays would be awesome to shoot as well.


To the people I'm shooting with, please remember that I reserve the right to post these photos here on DeviantART, as well on my Coscom and Facebook accounts. You can do whatever you like with the photos after you get them. Post them where ever you like.
Be ready with ideas and I'll be ready to shoot!

I guess that's all. I'mma head to bed now *nearly 5:30am*.

Chester and Dr. Insano rudely interrupted my photo shoot with my Yuuko(Jess), ~IggyBoo-EmoNemo (This was kind of funny, because they said to us "Girls at convention? When did that start happening?" I didn't realize it was them until they were out the side door. XD)
