How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

YAY!! So another AN has come and gone.

But this year was AWESOME!!

Besides the crap-tastic amounts of shit that happened to my wallet, summer plans, and roommate sitch, (and then having to get up for work today for my 9:30 am shift at work) I had a GREAT weekend!!

and everyone else I met, saw, ran in to, and had awesome times with!

So I had my photo shoots all weekend and those went very well. Except save some rain on Friday and a slight drizzle on Sunday, there was no cancellations of shoots due to weather.

I would like to thank everyone I shot with for making this convention a fun time and you were all great to work with!

Friday

Friday started off great with me waking up a bit late, but making it to the con early enough to get my registration, but before I went there, I ran into Brian Dobson, the Vancouver VA that I met at MTAC. He was walking past me in some of the drizzle rain with no umbrella to get some air. I stopped him to say hi and it was awesome because he remembered me from MTAC.

We chatted a bit about random stuff, like his friend having a similar thing happen to him in regards of theft and my wallet being stolen.
I went early to the con (12:30pm) to get my registration since I hadn't pre-registered. Luckily I was in and out in less than an hour. I did some scouting for locations, met up with a few friends, had some ice cream, and started my shoots. My 6pm shoot got a little rained out, but nothing too serious and we were able to finish the shoot under the cover of the convention's entrance area. Afterwards, I went and quickly met the Dobsons (again) since I had some spare time before their autographs were over. I got to see Brian again and Michael. They signed my con program since I didn't have time to get something proper for them to sign and snapped a few shots. We chatted longer than usual because I was the last in line and they were getting ready to leave for the day. It was cool because they offered to have drinks on Saturday. I said that'd be cool, but I was busy with my buds on Saturday, plus, I was busy all day with my shoots so I never had a chance to go back to see them again the next day. Oh well. Was still awesome!
I met up with *kaiser-mony ~Aerialdown ~IXI-Eric-The-Red-IXI and Dara in their Gintama cosplays later on. Silly shots were taken, fun was had.

Saturday

Saturday we had a late start. The guys were having some malfunctions with their Mummies Alive! cosplays, so I was late for my first shoot by about an hour. And unfortunately, I never got to shoot with ~eebanee because she had a conflicting shoot with the time I got there, so I just shot with ~sanji151 (SO CUTE!!!)
Shoots for the day were slightly delayed as a result, but everything got figured out, and I was able to shoot with lots of friends.

And I was so excited to see *SutekiGo's cosplay group because they were doing Inuyasha! XD Oh my childhood was at this con...
I had two ice creams that day... Say what you want, I'm a glutton and proud of it.
The guy's Mummies Alive! outfits were a huge hit!

We didn't get much time to shoot them because of my schedule plus Dara wasn't feeling too great for part of the weekend. But we got some shots, and they too will be posted once edited.

We then had a brainstorm to make a cosplay on the fly (Elizabeth from Gintama), so we ran to Wal-Mart (I did because I was the only "normal" looking one) bought some yellow spray paint and white bed sheets, bought some take-out sushi, and proceeded to make a cosplay in 1.5 hrs. XD Best part, it was very popular on Sunday.

Amazing what a bed sheet, umbrella, markers and poly-styrene can do.
We also watched Hetalia while doing so. XD so jokes!

Sunday

Sunday went by so fast! I started my shoots, first thing when I got there and it felt like I didn't stop all day.

I got my hour breaks and I got to see ~Glay and *TechnoRanma between shoots and did one last run through the Dealers room before my last shoot, which ended right as the con ended. (3 pocky for $5!!)
Luckily the rain held out until the con was well and over, so no rained out days, thank god!
We decided to do some silly shots of the guys for Gintama and then we did sushi with everyone. Afterwards, we stayed over at *kaiser-mony's an extra night to laugh at our photos.
Only thing was I was so tired that I was falling asleep, and I had to wake up early on Monday to get to work, so I was in bed early... well earlier.

AWESOME weekend! I can't wait for next year!
I still have 2 (maybe 3) cons this summer, ConBravo!, Otakuthon and maybe FanExpo.

Photos will come shortly, after I get more of the photo shoot from a few weeks ago up.

And I'm almost done my Canada cosplay! (My mom almost caught me prancing around in my wig and goggles and a red dress shirt... I ripped the wig off quickly, but she still gave me a weird look over the red shirt... lol)
