Photographic Influences

These are the people who's work inspires my photography style.

Richard Avedon - One of the most influential portrait photographers and my personal favorite. I was in love with his work when I first saw it and I'm sad that he has already passed. RIP.

Nigel Barker - Famous for his photography, film making, modeling and being a judge/photographer on America's Next Top Model. I always love who striking his photos are and the sharpness they have.

Shiro Ang Yeong Hui - Cosplay and portrait photographer, famous here on DA for his bright and well composed images, as well as bringing out the true character in each of his subjects.

Darren Aronofsky - An American film director who studied at Harvard University and AFI. His films (The Fountain, Black Swan, Requim for a Dream) have incredibly moving and thought provoking concepts as well as a look singularly Aronofsky.

Hexlord - Another DA heavyweight, his photography surrounds pages with his incredible eye and quality in his photos, maintaining the direction and mood of each photo taken.

David Fincher - A director known for his dark and stylish thrillers, Fincher has made some of the films over the last 2 decades that are considered cult classics (Fight Club, Se7en, Zodiac, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Social Network). His eye for details and using visual cues have made his at least one of his films a must for everyone's movie collection.

Hybridre - A young rising star on DA, Hybridre's photography can't be overlooked. His work is often compelling and inviting as I couldn't help from looking more and more into his page. His photos always tell a story and they are always memorable.

Lara Jade - From her start here on DA, Lara quickly rose at a young age into the photography and fashion industry and is now traveling the world and producing photos at the highest grade. The beauty her photos invoke and emit are always stunning and make me stare at them for hours at a time.

Muse - The music trio have dominated the alternative and synth rock scenes since their inception. With their creative writing, catchy beats and over the top concert performances, they never lose any fan that has come across their music.

Ratatat - A duo that use guitars, bass guitars, and synthesizers to produce incredibly catchy instrumentals that combine the love of electronic, dubstep, rock, and house music. Their music maintains an almost anonymous tone over their albums, but have a sound uniquely represents the phrase 'rata-tat-tat'.

Lady Gaga - One of the biggest movements in music since Madonna or Michael Jackson, Gaga rose from obscurity in the New York club scene to become the singular pop, rock and electronic icon of the decade. With her catchy songs that on the surface seem superficial, se manages to implement deeper meaning behind her music, creating stories and asking questions that need to be asked. Her writing, sense of style, and music videos all are under her direction, giving her total control of her image, making her entirely unique.
